CAIRO, March 15 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty held a telephone conversation with his Hungarian counterpart Péter Szijjártó to discuss bilateral relations and the Arab Plan for Early Recovery and Reconstruction in Gaza.
During the talks, Abdelatty praised the strong ties between Egypt and Hungary, stressing the importance of expanding cooperation, particularly in trade and investment.
He also briefed Szijjártó on the extraordinary Arab summit in Cairo, which endorsed the Gaza recovery plan along with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
He confirmed Egypt’s efforts to mobilize international support for its implementation.
The two ministers also discussed Egypt’s upcoming Gaza reconstruction conference, organized in coordination with the Palestinian government and the United Nations, alongside Egypt’s ongoing efforts to stabilize the ceasefire.
For his part, Szijjártó commended Egypt’s role in the Gaza recovery plan and ceasefire efforts, reaffirming Hungary’s support for Egypt’s initiatives to promote security and stability in the region. (MENA)
