After reciting some verses of the Holy Quran, a documentary film was screened showing how Egypt has witnessed several watershed stages in its history over ages with its people offering great sacrifices to protect the nation's security.

The film underlined that “our role now is to achieve the dreams of martyrs, realize comprehensive development and implement giant projects.”

The film reviewed the 1919 revolution incidents, directing a message to all about the importance of national unity.

The film also referred to the Palestine war, offering all needed support for the Gazans and Egypt's joining of the 1948 war.

The film highlighted the patriotic role of the Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Army, Abdel Moneim Riad, who was martyred during the 1969 War of Attrition. (MORE)
