CAIRO, March 5 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has underscored the significant development witnessed by the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), where 11 large factories have recently been opened.

There are now 130 factories in the SCZone, double the number registered three years ago when it stood at 65, Madbouly told a press conference after the Cabinet’s weekly meeting on Wednesday.

The prime minister noted that work at 120 factories under construction will be completed this year or next year at the latest.

He pointed out that the chairman of the Suez Canal Authority asserted that by the end of 2025, Egypt will have the capacity to fully produce all components of solar panels; which goes in line with Egypt's 2030 plan and vision, according to which clean energy will represent 42% of the total energy production in the country.
