CAIRO, Jan 27 (MENA) - Deputy Director General of the Egyptian Center for Strategic Studies (ECSS) Mohamed Ibrahim Eldawiry Monday affirmed that the Palestinian people have full confidence in the unflagging support of Egypt, its people and leadership.
Egypt remains committed to advocating the Palestinian cause regardless of the circumstances, he said.
Any talk about the forced displacement of residents of Gaza or the West Bank to other countries, or similar statements about the impracticability of implementing the two-state solution, are "unjust" for the Palestinian people, who will not give up their right to homeland, Eldawiry said in exclusive statements to MENA.
He warned that statements about the forced displacement would lead to more tension and instability in the region, and encouraging "Tel Aviv government" to further implement its extremist policies against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
He urged the international community, following the end of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, to seek a just solution to the Palestinian cause and exert utmost effort on this score, Eldawiry said.
The ECSS deputy director underlined genuine efforts exerted by Egypt, in cooperation with Qatar, that resulted in reaching a ceasefire agreement after 15 months of the Israeli war on Gaza.
These efforts succeeded in preventing the expansion of the scale of conflict in the region, he further noted. (MENA)
