CAIRO, Jan 13 (MENA) - The Foreign Ministry has signed an agreement with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) to implement the second phase of a project launched by the Egyptian-German Center for Jobs, Migration and Reintegration (EGC).
The signing ceremony was attended by Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation Rania el Mashat, German Ambassador in Cairo Jürgen Schulz and representative of the EU in Egypt Anne Kofoed.
The deal was signed by Egypt's Assistant Foreign Minister Ambassador Nabil Habashi and the director of GIZ office in Egypt.
The agreement aims at empowering Egyptian youth during the migration or the reintegration process with the support of the EU, which is a main partner in the project.
For his part, the German ambassador said his country is committed to working with Egypt to develop the tracks of migrants to serve the interests of the two countries.
Operating in Egypt since 1956, GIZ provides technical expertise, develops capacities and delivers effective solutions in close partnership with local governmental and non-governmental organizations. (MENA)
