CAIRO, Jan 4 (MENA) - Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot held a phone conversation to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and addressing key regional challenges.
During the talks, Abdelatty emphasized Egypt’s commitment to enhancing its strategic partnership with France, particularly in economic, trade, and investment sectors.
The ministers also reviewed regional developments, including the need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and ensuring humanitarian aid reaches the region.
On Syria, Abdelatty reiterated Egypt’s support for an inclusive political transition that upholds the country’s unity and stability.
Discussions extended to Somalia, where the Egyptian top diplomat stressed the importance of respecting its sovereignty and territorial integrity. (MENA)
