CAIRO, Dec 23 (MENA) – Awqaf Minister Osama El-Azhari has announced the upcoming launch of the ministry’s digital platform, a significant initiative directed by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

The platform will focus on renewing religious discourse with a comprehensive strategy aimed at delivering accessible and impactful content to diverse audiences, including youth, specialists, and the general public.

The announcement came during a meeting hosted by Khaled Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, head of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation (SCMR), and attended by Ahmed El-Meslemany, the Chairman of the National Media Authority.

Discussions centered on enhancing collaboration between the SCMR, the Awqaf Ministry, and the National Media Authority to modernize religious communication.

The meeting highlighted plans to train religious program presenters, journalists, and preachers in collaboration with the National Training Academy, Awqaf Academy, and Maspero’s Radio and Television Institute.

Abdel Aziz commended the Awqaf Ministry’s leadership in promoting moderate Islamic values, combating extremism, and advancing religious awareness.

El-Meslemany emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts across state institutions to support intellectual and religious development, reflecting Egypt’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and balanced discourse. (MENA)
