CAIRO, Dec 22 (MENA) – Assistant Foreign Minister Amr el-Geweili met Sunday with Kenya’s Principal Secretary for the State Department of Foreign Affairs Korir Sing'Oei to discuss next year’s agenda of multilateral negotiations about international peace and security.

The negotiations are set to tackle efforts to maintain and build peace, as well as disarmament. Multilateral negotiators will also confer on digitization, cyber-security, artificial intelligence, food security, immigration and refugees.

Figuring high at the talks will also be means to expand and reform the UN Security Council.

Geweili said Kenya intends to host a number of high-level multilateral meetings, including the third summit on the Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence in the Military Domain (REAIM).

Sing'Oei, for his part, greatly appreciated coordination with Egypt at all levels. He stressed his country’s commitment to shared priorities of African states under the umbrella of the UN. (MENA)
