CAIRO, Dec 4 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Badr Abdelatty has received a phone call from US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to exchange views on the successive developments in the Middle East region.

Two ministers discussed the rapid developments in northern Syria and their repercussions on the security and stability in the region, where Abdelatty called for respecting Syrian sovereignty and the unity and integrity of Syrian territory, said his spokesperson Tamim Khallaf.

They exchanged views on developments in the Gaza Strip, where Abdelatty highlighted the need to intensify regional and international efforts to achieve an immediate ceasefire and secure an unconditional and sustainable flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza.

He reviewed the proceedings of the Cairo Conference to Enhance Humanitarian Response in Gaza, hosted by Egypt two days ago, which reflected a broad international will to support the Palestinian people at the humanitarian level and the need for Israel to stop its arrogant policy that leads to obstructing the flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza.

Abdelatty reviewed the outcome of his visit to Port Sudan, stressing Egypt's supportive position towards Sudanese national institutions and respect for the unity and integrity of Sudanese territories.

Egypt exerts strenuous efforts to ensure the flow of humanitarian aid into Sudan and enable regional and international relief organizations to work in Sudan in light of the worsening humanitarian situation, the spokesperson concluded. (MENA)
