CAIRO, Dec 3 (MENA) - British Ambassador to Egypt Gareth Bayley has extended thanks to the Foreign Ministry for hosting the Cairo Ministerial Conference to Enhance Humanitarian Response in Gaza.

The diplomat said British Minister for International Development Anneliese Dodds, who participated at the conference, announced offering additional $24 million of aid for the Palestinians.

The conference, which kicked off Monday under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty and a number of foreign ministers at regional and international levels.

The gathering was held within the framework of Egypt's efforts to support the humanitarian response in Gaza and confront the humanitarian disaster suffered by the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. (MENA)
