CAIRO, Nov 24 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty said that Egypt is making firm and rapid strides toward the development of the economic performance.
The move has mainly contributed to boosting the competition of the national economy and the empowerment of the private sector, along with pumping more foreign direct investments, added Abdelatty during an expanded meeting with the president and members of the Kuwaiti side in the Egyptian-Kuwaiti Cooperation Council during his visit to Kuwait on Sunday.
That comes as part of the role of the Foreign Ministry in supporting the Egyptian economy abroad, added the minister.
Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Tamim Khallaf said that Abdelatty underscored the importance of preparing for holding an Egyptian-Kuwaiti Investment Forum as soon as possible.
The Egyptian foreign minister stressed the Egyptian side is ready for offering all ways of support for the council to enhance trade and investment cooperation bringing together businessmen from the two countries, in addition to the readiness of Egyptian companies working in infrastructure sector to participate in developmental projects in Kuwait.
Abdelatty confirmed Egypt is sparing no effort to develop several vital sectors to lure more investments on all fronts along with continuing the fulfilment of giant infrastructure projects, construction of new and smart cities and the development of transportation systems.
He said Egypt is seeking to attract further Kuwaiti investments to capitalize on promising investment opportunities in the country.
He stressed the support the Egyptian state is offering to investors in a way meant to boost the national economy. (MENA)
