CAIRO, Nov 14 (MENA) - Kemet Boutros Ghali Foundation for Peace and Knowledge granted Thursday its annual award to former Egyptian foreign minister and secretary-general of the Arab League Amr Moussa, for his career achievements in political and diplomatic activities to serve the nation.

Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Boutros Ghali Foundation for Peace and Knowledge Mamdouh Abbas said that this year the foundation is celebrating the career of Amr Moussa, a prominent Egyptian personality with an extensive background in diplomatic service and a rich history of national, Arab, African, regional and international diplomatic and political achievements.

He noted that Moussa was the head of the 50-member committee to draft the Egyptian constitution that was issued in 2014, and a figure who enjoys great popularity and enormous appeal, and has always been successful in conveying his stances to the widest possible audience.

Abbas mentioned Moussa's positions regarding the Arab-Israeli conflict, which resonated powerfully with the people of Egypt and the whole Arab world, highlighting the distinguished role he played to serve the wellbeing of the Egyptian, Arab and African people. (MENA)
