CAIRO, Nov 8 (MENA) – Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Ahmed Zayed has underscored the importance of an agreement signed with Tokyo Metropolitan Central Library to boost cultural cooperation between Egypt and Japan.
He told MENA on Friday that the signing ceremony of the deal was attended by Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike and a host of respective officials of both countries.
The agreement reflects the important roles played by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina for enhancing enlightenment and cultural aspects worldwide, Zayed said.
The deal includes several scientific, research, information technology and digitization programs, among others, with a view to cementing cultural cooperation between the two libraries, he added. (MENA)
