CAIRO, Oct 16 (MENA) - Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit on Wednesday condemned the Israeli airstrike on Nabatiyeh, southern Lebanon.

The strike resulted in the killing and injuring of dozens, including the mayor and relief workers.

AL Spokesman Jamal Roshdy, quoted Aboul Gheit's condemnation of Israeli airstrikes as indiscriminate attacks on civilians and infrastructure, aiming to replicate the Gaza scenario in Lebanon.

Aboul Gheit criticized Israeli "arrogance" for attacking rational European voices, such as French President Macron, who described the Israeli strikes as "indiscriminate"

The spokesman stated that Israel is actively working to empty northern Gaza of residents, committing increasingly brutal atrocities against civilians.

This indicates a continued conflict, refusal to de-escalate, and ongoing forced displacement, even targeting civilians in tents, he added. (MENA)
