MAKKAH, Saudi Arabia, June 14 (MENA) – Egypt’s assistant minister of interior for administrative affairs and the head of the official Hajj delegation on Friday announced the success of the country’s plan to help all pilgrims travelling through lottery ascend Mount Arafat for the climax of Hajj.

In statements to MENA, the official said the operations room affiliated to the Hajj delegation was notified that all coaches carrying Egyptian pilgrims have reached their tents on Mount Arafat.

The Day of Arafat falls on the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah, the twelfth and final month of the Islamic calendar, which comes this year on Saturday, June 15.

On that day, Muslim pilgrims gather on the sacred Mount Arafat for an intense day of worship and prayers.

The hill which is located just outside Makkah is where the Prophet Muhammad delivered his final sermon. (MENA)
