NEW ALAMEIN, July 17 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli underlined the importance of the Terminal 4 project in light of its role in bringing about a qualitative leap at Cairo International Airport.
The premier shed light on the scale of ongoing development projects in many sectors, underlining the need to cooperate with leading specialized consultancy offices worldwide as regards designing such projects.
He made the remarks during a meeting attended by Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh el Hefni, Head of the Armed Forces Financial Affairs Authority Khaled Abdullah, and Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Walid Aref.
The civil aviation minister said the establishment of Terminal 4 is one of the strategic projects that will significantly enhance the level of services and infrastructure at Cairo airport, contributing to increasing its overall capacity to 60 million passengers annually.
The project will incorporate advanced systems in airport operations, including air navigation, ground operations, building operations, and infrastructure, he added.
Hefni said all the project's financial and technical studies were completed, saying the terminal's capacity is likely to reach 30 million passengers annually. (MENA)
