CAIRO, July 10 (MENA) - Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli asserted the vital role and continued efforts of the Supreme Medical Committee for Emergencies at the cabinet in swiftly responding to urgent medical appeals and delivering essential healthcare services in various governorates.

He praised the committee’s impactful performance during the first half of 2025, highlighting its responsiveness and commitment to handling numerous medical cases with attention to individual circumstances.

This came during Madbouli’s review of a report on the committee’s activities, presented by Hossam El-Masry, the cabinet's medical advisor and head of the committee.

The report detailed the committee’s achievements and proactive approach in addressing urgent medical needs during the first half of 2025.

The committee responded to 7,041 medical appeals received via multiple channels, including media outlets, social media platforms, the committee’s designated WhatsApp number, parliamentary offices and citizen service offices, Masry said.

These cases were handled urgently, either by issuing treatment decisions at state expense from the prime minister’s office or through the Specialized Medical Councils.

The cases included critical procedures such as partial-matching bone marrow transplants, Gamma Knife surgeries, and prosthetics for people with disabilities, in addition to various surgical interventions. (MENA)
