CAIRO, May 29 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued directives to increase the strategic stock of staples, while moving ahead with the State's plan to expand farmlands and boost agricultural production.

The president's instructions came during his meeting on Thursday with Presidential Advisor for Urban Planning Amir Sayed Ahmed and Executive Director of the Future of Egypt for Sustainable Development Authority Bahaa El Ghannam, said Presidential Spokesman Mohamed El Shennawy.

The spokesman added that the president was briefed on the progress made in the projects of the Future of Egypt for Sustainable Development Authority, which target providing high-quality agricultural products at affordable prices and achieving self-sufficiency in strategic goods. (MENA)
