CAIRO, May 27 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli congratulated on Tuesday the Heliopolis Company For Housing & Development on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of its establishment, saying this national entity is an important stop in the history of Egypt's urban development.

Madbouli gave the remarks during a ceremony marking the 120th establishment of the company at Granada Palace in Heliopolis district.

He said the ongoing revival of the historic Heliopolis district reflects the state’s commitment to preserving Egypt’s cultural and architectural identity while integrating it with sustainable development plans.

Heliopolis is not merely a residential district—it is a symbol of progressive urban planning, ahead of its time. We are proud of the efforts by Heliopolis Company for Housing and Development to preserve this legacy while advancing toward a future-focused development vision, he added.

He reiterated the government’s full support for initiatives to repurpose heritage assets into economic and tourism drivers, describing the approach as a key pillar of “Egypt Vision 2030,” which seeks to enhance public-private partnerships and create sustainable investment opportunities.

The premier was received by Public Works Sector Minister Mohamed Shimi, Electricity and Renewable Energy Minister Mahmoud Esmat, Local Development Minister Manal Awad, Housing Minister Sherif el Sherbiny, Culture Minister Ahmed Fouad Henno, Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber Khalil, and National Press Authority Chairman Abdel Sadeq el Shorbagi.
