CAIRO, April 13 (MENA) - Egypt condemned Israeli attacks on Al-Mamadani Hospital in the Gaza Strip, describing them as a grave violation of international humanitarian law and international norms.
In a statement issued by the foreign ministry on Sunday, Egypt called for the immediate cessation of all Israeli assaults on Gaza and the urgent entry of humanitarian aid and relief supplies to the residents of the war-devastated strip, warning that the current situation threatens a humanitarian disaster for which Israel bears full responsibility.
Egypt also urged the international community to take responsibility and intervene immediately to stop the ongoing aggression against Gaza. It called for the activation of international law mechanisms and the UN Charter, and for the adoption of necessary steps to halt the attacks, especially in light of regional and international efforts to achieve de-escalation and resume the implementation of Gaza ceasefire agreement.
