CAIRO, March 19 (MENA) – Spokesman for the Cabinet Mohamed el Homsany said that Egypt is committed to securing a ceasefire in Gaza through ongoing diplomatic efforts with all key parties.
In statements to Extra News on Wednesday, he reaffirmed Egypt’s rejection of continued military operations, stressing the urgent need to end the war and prevent further civilian casualties.
He warned that prolonging the conflict would not bring any political gains.
For his part, Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has been in contact with his counterparts at various levels to push for a return to the ceasefire and prevent further escalation, which continues to claim civilian lives in Gaza.
On the domestic front, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli has formed a specialized committee to develop a future vision for Egyptian media and drama.
The initiative aims to ensure that Egyptian productions reflect the country’s cultural identity, reinforce national values, and avoid content that could spark criticism.
The committee will include experts and many stakeholders to shape the direction of Egyptian media in the coming years. (MENA)
