CAIRO, March 16 (MENA) - The General Secretariat of the Arab League (AL) urged the international community to bring suffering of Palestinians as a result of Israeli violations against them to a halt.

The pan-Arab body's general secretariat - in a statement Sunday - urged the international community to take necessary steps to facilitate flow of food and necessary assistance to the Palestinians.

The statement was issued on the occasion of the celebration of Arab Human Rights Day commemorated this year (2025) under the slogan "The Right to Food" as a fundamental human right, a necessity for a decent life and an essential element of human dignity.

Israeli forces are destroying the food system of the Palestinians and launching a starvation campaign against them which is a war crime and genocide against besieged Palestinians, the statement read.
