CAIRO, March 12 (MENA) – US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff praised Egypt’s efforts in promoting peace and stability during a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty in Doha.
The meeting, held on the sidelines of an Arab ministerial session, was also attended by Eric Trager, Middle East Coordinator at the US National Security Council.
According to a press release by the foreign ministry, Abdelatty reviewed the Arab plan for Gaza reconstruction, approved during the emergency Arab summit in Cairo, which was held in the New Administrative Capital earlier this month.
During the talks, the two diplomats agreed to continue discussions on the initiative as a foundation for rebuilding Gaza and restoring stability in the region.
