CAIRO, Feb 26 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdelatty Wednesday discussed over the phone with Kaja Kallas, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission (HR/VP), Egypt's efforts to reconstruct Gaza without the displacement of its people.
He pointed out to Arab and Islamic support to Egyptian efforts, expressing hope for European support to them.
He hailed the development in Egyptian- European relations after the signing of an agreement to elevate the two sides' partnership.
Abdelatty expressed hope for boosting trade and investment relations between the two sides and the EU's continued support inside the EU institutions to approve the 4 billion Euro tranche to Egypt.
For her part, the EU foreign policy chief hailed Egypt's efforts to stabilize Gaza's three-phase ceasefire calling for intensifying efforts for the enclave reconstruction process and finding a peaceful solution in line with the two-state proposal.(MENA)
