CAIRO, Feb 26 (MENA) - Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli asserted President Abdel Fattah El Sisi ordered to maintain efforts exerted by the government to alleviate the cost of living burdens on citizens and develop mechanisms for delivering social protection packages to eligible beneficiaries.
The president also directed to ensure achieving the various goals in this regard and support the most vulnerable brackets in society to help Egyptian families meet their needs and raise efficiency of services offered to limited and middle-income segments, added Madbouli while chairing the government's weekly meeting in its headquarters in the New Administrative Capital on Wednesday.
During the meeting, which was held to probe a number of important issues and work files, the premier underscored the importance of continuing the government's efforts in cooperation with different bodies concerned to implement directives of president Sisi to provide more goods and products to the domestic market at suitable prices to meet all needs and requirements of people ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, which is due to begin Saturday.
Additionally, Madbouli talked about the busy agenda of the president at the foreign level and his meetings with a number of international officials to discuss ways of boosting relations between Egypt and other countries and issues of mutual concern.
Moreover, the prime minister pointed out to the outcome of his recent official visit to Kuwait, where he held many bilateral gatherings to discuss means to enhance joint cooperation in different fields.
The meeting also tackled ongoing preparations for inaugurating the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) after the approval of president Sisi on July 3. (MENA)
