KUWAIT CITY, Feb 23 (MENA) - Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah said Egypt and Kuwait see eye to eye on current the situation in region and ways to realize regional security and stability, affirming that Egypt's stability is part of Kuwait's stability.
During a meeting with Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, the Kuwaiti emir received an invitation from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to attend the Arab summit, set for Cairo March 4.
The Kuwaiti emir voiced appreciation for Egypt’s historical role in supporting Kuwait at the various levels, praising Egypt's key role in sending Egyptian experts who contributed to supporting his country’s development in all fields.
Sheikh Meshal also expressed his appreciation for the Egyptian State’s support to achieve security and stability in Kuwait.
The Kuwaiti emir hailed efforts of president Sisi in realizing urban development across Egypt.
Sheikh Meshal directed his government to advance cooperation efforts with Egypt in areas of common interest and work to increase investments for the benefit of both countries.
For his part, the Egyptian premier affirmed Egypt's welcome of Kuwaiti investments in the Egyptian market, expressing his keenness on supporting Kuwaiti investors and motivating them to press ahead with new investments, in a way that contributes to achieving the goals of economic development in Egypt and Kuwait.
Madbouli also reviewed the Egyptian government's drives to create an ameliorate business environment, with a view to luring new investments, despite burdens imposed by the current regional challenges.
President Sisi is looking forward to the Kuwaiti emir's participation in the summit that is being held at a critical juncture, Madbouli said.
The emir of Kuwait welcomed President Sisi 's invitation, expressing aspiration to participate in the summit.
The Egyptian premier wished Kuwait and its people further progress and prosperity.
He reiterated that Kuwait's support for Egypt means support for Kuwaiti people's interests.
During a meeting held here Sunday with Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, the two sides discussed a number of issues of mutual concern.
Kuwaiti Prime Minister Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and Egyptian ambassador to Kuwait Osama Shaltout took part in the meeting. (MENA)
