CAIRO, Feb 23 (MENA) - The meeting of Egypt-Sudan political consultation mechanism, for the first time since 2018, reflects the political will of both countries' leaderships to strengthen their relations, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty said Sunday.

Abdelatty was addressing a joint press conference with Sudanese counterpart Ali Yousuf Ahmed Al-Sharif following the meeting.

Praising deep cooperation between Egypt and Sudan, the top diplomat expressed Egypt's anticipation of Sudanese Sovereign Council Chairman Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan's participation in the extraordinary Arab Summit on Palestine, which Cairo will host on March 4.

The talks focused on distinguished relations between Egypt and Sudan and ways to enhance them, he added.

Abdelatty emphasized that the meeting was a highly significant opportunity to address an extensive agenda of bilateral, regional, and international issues. (MORE)
