CAIRO/BRUSSELS, Jan 19 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty lauded the ongoing cooperation with the Belgian Jan De Nul Group that contributed to several projects in Egypt.
He referred to a memorandum of understanding between the two sides to cooperate in exporting renewable energy from Egypt to Europe.
Abdelatty - currently in Brussels - made the remarks during a meeting on Sunday with Wim Dhont, Offshore Cables Manager at Jan De Nul Group.
Abdelatty commended the Belgian company's keenness on contributing to the implementation of the power linkage project between Greece and Egypt and shed light on the national strategy for the production of green hydrogen which reflects Egypt's interest in green transition.
He highlighted the Egyptian government's interest in empowering the private sector and encouraging foreign direct investments.
The foreign minister asserted the state's keenness on supporting foreign companies operating in Egypt and removing any obstacles facing them, voicing hope to see more investments by Jan De Nul Group in the Egyptian market. (MENA)
