CAIRO, Jan 5 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty telephoned his Malawian counterpart Nancy Tembo on Sunday to discuss beefing up relations between the two countries.

Abdelatty said he was keen on having strong relations with Malawi in all fields, whether through expanding capacity building programs provided by the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD) or enhancing Egyptian investments in Malawi and increasing trade exchange between the two countries.

For her part, Tembo valued the historic relations between the two countries, stressing her country's interest in furthering cooperation with Egypt in all fields.

She said she would visit Egypt at the earliest opportunity to benefit from the Egyptian expertise in the fields of capacity building.

During the call, the two sides agreed to continue coordination over regional and international issues of common interest.

The two countries said they would back each other nominations for regional and international posts. (MENA)
