CAIRO, Dec 29 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli emphasized the deep historical ties with African sister nations.

Meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty, Madbouli reaffirmed Egypt's commitment to strengthening cooperation and development relations with African countries in various fields.

The meeting aimed to follow up on the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to support cooperation with African countries.

The premier highlighted Egypt's readiness to continue supporting sustainable development efforts in African nations across diverse sectors to fulfill the aspirations of the continent's peoples for development, peace, and prosperity.

For his part, Abdelatty said the ministry is closely monitoring the implementation of presidential directives concerning the enhancement of bilateral relations with African nations.

He also highlighted the significant role of the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development in promoting comprehensive development across African nations through training programs, capacity building, and expertise exchange in various fields.

The top diplomat discussed the ministry’s ongoing efforts to support mutual trade and investment with African nations, especially in light of Egypt's membership in the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) and several regional, African blocs.

He underscored the vital role of Egyptian diplomacy, in coordination with various state institutions under the guidance of the President, to advance Egypt's interests on Africa. (MENA)
