CAIRO, Dec 4 (MENA) - Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has reiterated Egypt's commitment to activating its foreign policy as the country marks six decades of diplomatic action in the service of peace and development.
Addressing a ceremony organized by the Foreign Ministry on the occasion, the top diplomat said Wednesday that over the past 60 years Egypt has established the Institute for Diplomatic Studies (IDS), the Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding in Africa (CCCPA) and the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD).
Those three institutions constitute Egypt's arms of soft power, acting to build human potentials and promote cooperation with friendly countries to achieve the goals of peace, development and stability, Abdelatty said.
According to the foreign minister, diplomatic action, comprehensive development and establishing a culture of peace are three main pillars of the Egyptian diplomacy. Those are central tools used to implement the vision of the political leadership with the aim to benefit from the great potentials of Egypt's soft power, he explained.
Egypt remains committed to joint action and constructive cooperation in support of the IDS, CCCPA and EAPD with the aim to achieve the goals of peace, development and stability, Abdelatty noted. (MENA)
