CAIRO, Sept 8 (MENA) - The Cabinet’s media center has dismissed as groundless reports on suspending mosque imams and using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in delivering Friday sermon.

In a statement Friday, the center said it contacted the Ministry of Awqaf which denied the reports as groundless, pointing out that the mosque imams will continue their work as usual with commitment to applying the unified topic system for the sermon they give every week.

The statement said the ministry is keen on training imams and supporting them, calling on citizens to turn a deaf ear to such rumors.

It called on all media outlets and social media users to ignore such rumors and misleading reports and contact the center on (01155508688-01155508851) or (rumors@idsc.net.eg) for fact checking. (MENA)
