CAIRO, Aug 7 (MENA) - Palestine's Permanent Representative to the Arab League (AL) Muhannad al Aklouk underlined the vital role played by the pan-Arab body in supporting the Palestinian cause.

He further stressed the importance of increasing the effective role played by the AL in the service of the Palestinian cause and putting its crucial decisions into effect.

Aklouk's remarks were made during his meeting with AL Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Social Sector at the AL Haifa Abu Ghazaleh.

During the meeting, Aklouk also cast a spotlight on the 32nd decision of the AL regarding appreciating the efforts made by the UN special rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967 and providing support to her.

Aklouk posted the Arab League official on efforts exerted by his delegation in the various political, legal and development aspects.

Ghazaleh, for her part, praised the vision adopted by the permanent delegation of Palestine to the Arab League.

She further affirmed readiness to provide all the necessary support to implement such vision. (MENA)
