ALEXANDRIA, Egypt, July 14 (MENA) - Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Monday made an inspection tour of development and service projects in Alexandria city.

He affirmed that his visit to Alexandria reflects the government’s sustained commitment to conducting on-site inspections of essential service and development projects across key sectors such as healthcare, transportation, infrastructure, and sanitation.

Madbouli stressed the importance of rigorous oversight throughout project implementation, promptly addressing any obstacles that may hinder progress, and ensuring timely completion so that the projects can begin providing services to citizens without delay.

The premier was accompanied by Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Sherif el-Sherbiny; Alexandria Governor Ahmed Khaled Hassan Said, Deputy Minister of Housing Sayed Ismail, and Head of the Central Agency for Reconstruction (CAR) Mahmoud Nassar.

"Today, Alexandria is entering a new phase of urban transformation, driven by the numerous projects carried out in recent years," he said.

He noted that these initiatives include the development of new urban communities, the rehabilitation of informal and unsafe settlements, the construction of major transportation arteries, upgrades to sanitation and industrial wastewater infrastructure, and the implementation of rainwater separation systems to mitigate the effects of climate change, in addition to renewable energy and coastal protection projects.

He underscored that these efforts aim to strengthen key sectors that directly impact citizens’ daily lives, reaffirming the state’s steadfast commitment to advancing infrastructure development nationwide, despite ongoing geopolitical and economic challenges. (MENA)
