AMMAN, July 8 (MENA) - Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman al-Safadi and Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares voiced support for Egyptian, Qatari and US efforts to broker a ceasefire in Gaza.

The two sides underscored - during a phone call Tuesday - the urgent need to halt the war immediately and address the humanitarian crisis by opening all border crossings for immediate aid delivery, according to a statement issued by the Jordanian Foreign Ministry.

They also discussed ongoing diplomatic efforts to secure a lasting ceasefire and ensure the flow of humanitarian assistance into the Gaza Strip, the statement read.

Meantime, both ministers underlined importance of deepening bilateral ties, as well as continued committed to further strengthening cooperation between their countries, it added. (MENA)
