CAIRO, June 30 (MENA) - Egypt's Ambassador to Mauritius Abir Alam Eldin has discussed in a meeting with Speaker of the Mauritian National Assembly Shirin Aumeeruddy-Cziffra ways of boosting bilateral relations in different domains, particularly at the parliamentary level.
During the meeting, the two sides underscored the importance of strengthening the institutional partnership between the parliaments of both countries, through the exchange of legislative experience and the activation of parliamentary dialogue mechanisms, according to a statement released by the foreign ministry on Monday.
The pair highlighted the need for exchanging views and experience on national legislation, with a view to enhancing the legal understanding and advancing the legislative framework to keep pace with regional and international challenges.
The meeting took up means of exchanging visits between parliamentary delegations of both countries that could contribute to building trust and enhancing bilateral relations on the basis of mutual respect and constructive understanding. (MENA)
