CAIRO, June 18 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi Wednesday signed law no. 88 of 2025, establishing a Unified National Real Estate Identification Number Database.
The law, published in the official gazette, mandates the establishment of a national electronic database for real estate properties, assigning a unique, non-replicable identification number to each property that distinguishes it from all others.
This ID will be linked to codes within Egypt’s unified base map system.
The specific authority responsible for managing this system—its operations to be defined by a prime minister's decision, will provide data for each property’s national ID, oversee its use, and ensure its continued application.
The law explicitly excludes strategic and military properties.
The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS), in coordination with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and other relevant ministries and bodies, will determine the components of the real estate national ID. (MENA)
