CAIRO, June 15 (MENA) – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli chaired, on Sunday, a high-level roundtable titled “Structural Reforms to Boost Private Sector Competitiveness."
The event was held during the "Development Finance to Foster Private Sector-Led Growth & Jobs" conference organized by the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation in the New Administrative Capital.
The talks were attended by the ministers of industry and transport, planning and economic development, electricity and renewable energy, investment and foreign trade and public business.
Representatives from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the European Investment Bank (EIB), and the European Commission, along with private-sector leaders, also attended the meeting.
The discussion addressed financing opportunities, development funding, technical support, and acceleration of reform measures to help Egyptian businesses access new funding streams.
During the talks, the ministers highlighted the ongoing reforms to improve infrastructure and access to financing, both domestic and international.
For his part, Madbouli pledged full government support for business growth through new incentives and clearer regulations, and promised increased coordination with international partners. He also praised Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation Rania Al Mashat’s role in organizing the event. (MENA)
