JAKARTA, June 7 (MENA) – Indonesia has expressed interest in deepening cooperation with Belarus in the field of potash fertilizer supplies, TV BRICS reported.
Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugianto expressed hope for expanded cooperation with Belarus in this area to support the government's program to ensure the country's food security. The statement was made during Sugianto's meeting with Belarusian Ambassador to Indonesia Raman Ramanouski.
According to the data presented, in 2024, trade between the two countries showed significant growth, increasing by 44.1% compared to the previous year and reaching 128.4 million US dollars. Indonesian exports amounted to US$43.6 million, which is 22.5% more than a year earlier.
Indonesia is optimistic about further expanding exports to Belarus, as positive trade relations with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member country open up opportunities for broader economic cooperation in the Eurasian region. (MENA)
