President Sisi said that the New Delta project, covering 2.5 million feddans, is designed to accommodate over two million families across three governorates.

He described it as a large-scale national effort supported by private developers under a new model of housing and resettlement.

The project is expected to create millions of jobs and will require extensive investments in equipment and infrastructure, including the drilling of 6,000 irrigation wells, each taking up to two weeks to complete.

The president stressed the importance of using all available water resources, including treated wastewater, groundwater, and Nile water.

On the opening of the smart government complex in El Wadi El Gedid (The New Valley) Governorate, Sisi stated that it represents Egypt’s first fully digitized provincial administrative center and is modeled after the one in the New Administrative Capital.

He also added that this approach will be rolled out nationwide to improve service delivery and optimize the use of high-value government land.

Additionally, Sisi proposed relocating facilities to nearby urban extensions and converting the original sites to revenue-generating assets. (MENA)
