The Lebanese President said that the country is working to build a free and sovereign state with full control over its decisions. He affirmed that the current government reforms serve this objective and reflect internal priorities, not external pressures.
Aoun also noted progress in economic and tourism indicators within the government’s first 100 days. He stated that Lebanon remains committed to economic restructuring as a national priority.
The Lebanese President reiterated that the state must be the sole holder of arms, as outlined in the Taif Agreement and the government’s policy declaration.
Aoun concluded that dialogue among Lebanese parties remains the only approach to resolving national challenges, including the issue of weapons outside state authority. (MENA)
