The Arab leaders reaffirmed the importance of respecting the choices of the Syrian people in all their diversity and safeguarding the security and stability of Syria, given its direct impact on regional stability.

They renewed their support for Syria’s unity and territorial integrity and rejected all forms of interference in its internal affairs, condemning Israel’s repeated attacks on Syrian territory as a flagrant violation of sovereignty and an attempt to undermine national capabilities.

They urged the international community and the UN Security Council to apply pressure to stop such attacks and to ensure respect for state sovereignty.

The leaders emphasized the importance of advancing a comprehensive political transition process that preserves diversity and social peace in Syria and ensures respect for the beliefs and sanctities of all its people.

They noted that the economic and financial sanctions on Syria hinder recovery and reconstruction efforts. In this context, they welcomed US President Donald Trump’s May 13, 2025, announcement lifting sanctions on Syria and expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia for its efforts in supporting Syria’s position.

They also welcomed the easing of European sanctions, which will help accelerate reconstruction and create conditions for the safe, voluntary, and dignified return of Syrian refugees and internally displaced people.

The leaders called for adopting a comprehensive national dialogue conference that includes all components of the Syrian people and welcomed Iraq’s willingness, as the current summit’s host, to host this conference in coordination with the Arab League and its member states, in pursuit of a lasting solution.
