CAIRO, May 14 (MENA) - Egypt’s National Committee on Libya is closely following up the rapid developments and rising tensions in neighboring Libya in recent days, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Expatriates said in a statement on Wednesday.

The committee is in continuous session to follow up the situation in Libya, the statement said.

The ministry also announced the formation of an operations room to follow up developments on the ground and to coordinate around the clock with the Egyptian Embassy in Tripoli.

The operations room is available 24/7 to respond to inquiries and requests from Egyptian nationals in Libya through the following contact numbers:

The committee is coordinating with all relevant state agencies to address the evolving circumstances.

The statement urged Egyptian citizens living or present in Libya to exercise maximum caution, remain indoors, and avoid areas where tensions are high until the situation stabilizes. (MENA)
