CAIRO, May 12 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty asserted on Monday that his ministry is paying a greater attention to boosting economic diplomacy with different countries worldwide in accordance with national priorities and Egypt Vision 2023.
Abdelatty's remarks came during a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel el Wazir which was convened as part of regular meetings organized by the ministry to bring together senior government officials and Egypt’s ambassadors and heads of diplomatic and consular missions abroad to discuss national policies and files.
The meeting offered an important opportunity for learning more about priorities of the ministries of industry and transport.
He commended efforts by the two ministries to develop the transport system and promote industrial development efforts nationwide.
The foreign minister hailed the important role of embassies and Egyptian missions abroad in promoting promising investment chances and supporting important industrial sectors in the country.
For his part, Wazir highlighted that the ministries of industry and transport devised action plans to turn the country into a regional center for transport, logistics and transit trade, which, he added, will help make Egypt a vital hub for developing different industries. (MENA)
