CAIRO, April 30 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty hailed during a phone call with Cyprus' Foreign Minister Konstantinos Koumpos Wednesday distinguished ties binding Egypt and Cyprus at the various levels.
The phone contact comes within the framework of continued coordination and consultation between the two sides to promote bilateral relations.
The Egyptian foreign minister said, he is looking forward to boosting bilateral ties with Cyprus in the various spheres, especially the economic, trade and investment domains, together with enhancing cooperation in the field of employing Egyptian workers in Cyprus.
Meantime, Abdelatty voiced appreciation for Cyprus' supportive stance to Egypt
within the European Union (EU) institutions, including Cyprus support for the second tranche of the European financial package to Egypt, worth €4 billion.
The two sides also emphasized the importance of continued coordination and exchange of views on regional and international issues of common interest, along with commitment to intensifying joint efforts to support security and stability in the region. (MENA)
