CAIRO, April 29 (MENA) - Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk said the Ministry of Finance is ready to apply
successive packages facilitating investments with the aim of confronting any tax challenges investors might face.

“We are ready with successive packages that will end any tax challenges unfolding on the ground ... and our approach is clear and we’ll never deviate from it ... trust, partnership and support for the business community,” said the minister of finance.

Kouchouk said - during an open dialogue with leaders and executive members of tax offices across the various Egyptian governorates Tuesday - that “job satisfaction” of tax workers begins with “financiers' satisfaction,” adding “We’re committed to investing strongly in the human cadre, with a view to building up skilled laborers more capable of changing tax reality for the better.”

"Tax facilities will succeed with your competence. My confidence in you is unlimited. Treat financiers with a great deal of confidence," the minister said addressing tax offices' staffers.

He said careful application of tax facilities is a “cornerstone” in building trust with the business community.

Kouchouk voiced appreciation of efforts of employees of the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA), together with their outstanding financial performance during the past months, saying: “Together we can achieve more than our goals ... the more we gain the satisfaction of financiers."

Earlier the Ministry of Finance announced the first package of tax facilitation including 20 simplified procedures aiming to support partnerships for business community.

These procedures include an integrated and simplified tax system to back projects and professional activities.

The package also includes simplified procedures for settling tax disputes and creating and investment-attracting climate as well as offering several incentives for beneficiaries, among others. (MENA)
