CAIRO, April 27 (MENA) – Prime Minister Dr Mostafa Madbouli reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting the petroleum sector and attracting more investments through incentives and streamlined procedures, aiming to boost production and meet growing energy demands.
In a meeting with Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi, Madbouli emphasized accelerating the development of new oil and gas finds and boosting exploration efforts.
He also asserted the government’s keenness to pay the dues of international oil companies to maintain a strong investment flow.
Additionally, the discussions addressed Egypt’s strategy to secure petroleum supplies, expand local production, and strengthen cooperation with global partners.
Badawi outlined preparations for peak summer demand, efforts to boost strategic reserves, and results from his participation at the IEA Future of Energy Security Summit in London, including discussions on renewable energy projects and emissions reduction initiatives. (MENA)
