CAIRO, April 26 (MENA) – Omar El Araby and Judy Abdallah qualified for the finals of the Cairo 2025 Artistic Gymnastics World Cup, held at Cairo Stadium from April 25 to 28, with the participation of 20 countries and 80 athletes.
El Araby placed third in the still rings qualification, while Abdallah advanced by finishing fourth on the uneven bars and sixth on the vault.
The finals, featuring the top eight athletes per apparatus, are scheduled for Sunday.
The event marks the final stage of the 2025 FIG World Cup series, contributing to the athletes' global rankings.
Egypt’s team includes Mohamed Afifi, Abdelrahman Abdelhalim, Omar El Shobky, Ahmed El Maraghy, Omar El Araby, Ali Abdelkader, Jana Mahmoud, Judy Abdallah, Jana Abdelsalam, and Dana Khalil.
For his part, Ehab Amin, president of the Egyptian and African Gymnastics Federations, praised the athletes’ performance and their readiness to compete among the world’s best. (MENA)
