SOFIA, April 25 (MENA) - President Rumen Radev wrote in the book of condolence in memory of Pope Francis that the Bulgarian people will always cherish the warm memory of the Pope's Apostolic Journey to Bulgaria that took place in early May 2019, the presidential press secretariat reported here on Thursday.
Parliament Chair Nataliya Kiselova wrote that the world and the Catholic Church have lost a great advocate for the faith in people and their rights, the Bulgarian News Agency reported.
The book was opened on Wednesday in the presence of Archbishop Luciano Suriani, the Apostolic Nuncio to Bulgaria.
The Council of Ministers approved the composition of the Bulgarian delegation to participate in the funeral ceremony of Pope Francis, which will take place on April 26 in Rome. The delegation will be headed by Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov. (MENA)
