CAIRO, April 20 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Bader Abelatty visited headquarters of the St. Mark's Cathedral in Abbassia Sunday to offer greetings to Pope Tawadros II Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark to convey his heartfelt congratulations on behlaf of the ministry's employees to Pope Tawadros II on the occasion of Easter.
The foreign minister voiced his sincere wishes that God Almighty would return this occasion to Egypt and its great people with security, peace and love.
Abdelatty said the Coptic Orthodox Church represents a fundamental pillar of the Egyptian national fabric, expressing appreciation of the ancient history of the Coptic Orthodox Church and its societal, along with its spiritual and humanitarian role, noting that the holidays always represent an occasion for rapprochement and brotherhood among the people of the nation.
The minister also briefed Pope Tawadros II on the ministry's keenness on providing all forms of support and care to the Egyptian community abroad, together with continued efforts to enhance communication with Egyptian expatriates, meeting their needs through Egyptian embassies and consulates, as well as facilitating their constant communication with their homeland.
